My First Shamanic Trance

A story about how a bear spirit came to me during a shamanic trance ⭐

During my time off of social media, I found myself drawn to discovering more about my ancestral lineage. I started looking into my Russian and Ukrainian roots and discovered that both magic use and shamanism were an important part of life in those lands years ago, way before my time.

I am very cut off from my ancestral roots on both sides due to a history of trauma... like so many of us are.

This led me to learning more about Shamanism, which led to me learning about Animism. I had an "aha!" moment and realized that animism is exactly what I have been searching for in terms of understanding my own spiritual experience.

I found a year long program called Spirit Bridge, run out of Arizona to help me learn about how to welcome shamanistic practises and animist wisdom into my service to others.

What an amazing flow of experiences!

On our fist online meeting (some people meet in person) we were lead through a shamanic drumming trance where we were meant to connect with our ancestors.

I asked for an ancestor to be shown to me. I waited... feeling more peaceful and still than I ever had during any other kind of meditation. For a while, nothing came to me. Nothing. Everything felt far away and thoughts weren't even bubbling up, as they usually do.

After about 10 minutes, I felt myself entering a tunnel, a cave. It was dark. I couldn't see anything, but felt that I was in a deep dark cave.

Eventually I could see it... the face of a giant bear looking right back at me.

The Kamchatka brown bear lives in the east regions of Russia!

Not the ancestor I was searching for, but the the animal spirit guide that I need right now. Animals spirts show themselves to me more often than human spirits and I have been told I have animal mediumship abilities. I'm still discovering these things about myself.
